Re cam belt change – 29-04-2012, 05:29 PM. 2010 MY 2.0 TDI Common Rail engine cambelt interval is every 120,00 miles with no time limit specified (Tensioning roller replacement every 240.000 miles !) My 2010 MY 1.6TDI Manual states cambelt replacement interval is every 200,000 miles or 300,000 Kms without any time limit !

1Post (s) Re: Cam belt change? – 29-07-2016, 10:23 AM. I agree with the above - 4 years/60k, I'd sooner pay a few hundred quid for the belt change than the thousands it can be should the belt fail. Having been there once before, I view timing belt changes as more of an engine insurance than a servicing cost. 2 2 0.

A62.0tdi timing belt question. Hi guys this is probably covered many times. I've recently bought a 2.0tdi facelift with 78,000 miles with full Audi main dealer history. There is no record of the timing belt been changed. My service book says toothbelt to be changed at 114,000 miles. I called Audi who say it's every 5 years or 114,000.
Themanufacturer says 133k. The UK importer says 5 yrs 75k. Same engine in a vw van is 120k or 4 yrs according to the importer. Your biggest risk is the aux belt snapping because it usually ends up getting snarled up with the timing belt and damaging the engine. There is a redesigned timing belt cover to prevent this.
